Tyler Yockey is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Duson LA, who attends Acadiana. Tyler has an angular body with a tall lean build. Tyler has good strength through his hips and has room for more strength. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. Tyler works fast and has good pitchability. He throws a good 11/5 curveball with depth. Tyler has a lot of movement on his fastball, when it is up in the zone it gets armside run; when it's down in the zone it gets cut action on it. At the plate, Tyler starts with a good set up and stays balanced through his swing. He has an aggressive approach and has bat speed. He makes solid line drive contact and has good pop. Tyler is a solid defensive player and is a legit two-way prospect. He was also named to the Top Prospect Team.
