Brandon Ciraulo is a 2006 OF/SS from Tracy HS, residing in Tracy, CA, with a 6'3", 180 lb. frame. He has a good baseball build that projects well in terms of being able to add and handle future strength and power gains. Ciraulo hits from a square stance and has good bat speed. He demonstrates nice balance during his swing. Ciraulo is a spray-type hitter that uses the middle of the field well. He loads his hands well and gets through contact well and was making loud contact. Some hitters just have a knack for getting hits even when they don't make their best contact and Ciraulo appears to be one of those types of hitters. Keeping his bat in the zone and plate coverage are keys for him, and he does both well. Ultimately he has solid potential to develop gap power and will hit some home runs. Though he is not a fast runner, Ciraulo also showed the ability to steal a base. As a defender he has a nice approach to the ball in outfield and uses a crow hop to set-up his throws. He threw accurately. With his offensive abilities and athletic build, Ciraulo is an intriguing player to follow. He is going to get stronger with physical maturation, which will enhance his power abilities with the bat.
