Steven Phillips is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Madison AL, who attends Bob Jones. Steven has a taller body with a lean build. Steven pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot and uses a short arm action. He has a high leg kick in his mechanics and stays balanced well. Steven gets good armside run on his fastball with late life on it. He also throws a 12/6 curveball that has big break. Steven has a very positive demeanor on the mound as well. At the plate, Steven hits from a wide stance and starts closed stance. Steven has a line drive swing path and stays balanced through his swing. Steven has bat speed and present gap to gap power. Steven is young player who will improve with experience.
