Alex Riquenes is a 2021 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Louisville, KY who attends Southern High School Magnet Career Acade. Athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.11 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed deliberate actions working to and through the baseball. Flashed developing glove actions with low out front funnels. Displayed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to first base topping out at 76 mph across the infield. Right handed hitter. Employs a upright slightly open stance with a little toe tap trigger. Displayed a pull side to middle of the field approach with the ability to create loud contact to the pull side when on time and squared. Showed a slightly elevated barrel plane creating loud fly balls into the outfield with some consistency. Excellent student.
