Jorge Triana is a 2007 C with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame from Key Biscayne FL, who attends Columbus HS. He has a solid athletic build with some present strength. We weren't able to get as good of look at Triana as we would have like to because he wasn't able to attend the workouts, but we liked what we saw during the games. He has good body life and looseness for a catcher and sets up well behind the plate. He showed good arm strength. Triana hits from a busy set up with lots of pre-swing movement in his hands that serves as his trigger. He attacks the ball aggressively and shows raw bat speed. He has the physical tools to develop at the next level. Triana is also a good student.
