John Kwiatkowski is a 2007 C/3B with a 5'8'', 182 lb. frame from Northbrook, IL, who attends Glenbrook North High School. He has a thick and presently strong body. Defensively he has solid arm strength behind the plate with a good transfer from glove to hand. Kwiatkowski has nice hands who receives the ball well. He sets up well behind the plate, and has good footwork. His footwork helps on his throws as well as in blocking balls in the dirt. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a quiet set up. Kwiatkowski has a good load with his hands, and then takes a short and compact swing. He makes solid contact when he centers the ball. Kwiatkowski does a great job staying inside the ball with a line drive type swing. He should drive the ball from gap to gap and hit for a solid average. There is upside with his bat, and he is a good student as well.
