Kade Ratcliff is a 2022 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Springdale, AR who attends Har-Ber. Compact build with present athleticism and room to fill out. Ran a 7.44 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary first baseman. Utilizes low out front funnels with clean glove actions. Displayed deliberate footwork working around the baseball as well while working off the base towards second base. Flashed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry across the diamond topping out at 78 mph. Right handed hitter. Employs a slightly open stance with a high hand and back elbow set up. Flashed a line drive plane through the zone with good feel for the barrel creating consistently driven line drives to the middle of the field. Displayed a rotational approach with the ability to drive the ball to the pull side when on time and squared. Also pitched at the event. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound. Lands online with the plate and recoils at finish. Flashed a long arm action going to a mid three-quarter slot at release with developing arm speed. Features a fastball with some arm side run up to 78 mph complemented by a developing 11/5 curveball at 66 mph. Excellent student.
