Kyle Romero is a 2008 3B/C with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Santee, CA, who attends Santana HS. Romero has a good frame with present strength. Defensively he moves well to the ball with good lateral quickness. Romero has good hands, and looked very good charging slow rollers. He threw 71 mph across the diamond and 65 mph from behind the plate. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who hits from a closed stance with a high hand set. Romero takes a short stride and has a good trigger with a line drive swing plane. He sprays the ball to all fields, and gets a good weight shift at the point of contact. Romero is a line drive hitter who should hit for a good average. He is also an outstanding student.
