2006 National Underclass Showcase
Michael Pratt is a 2009 SS/3B with a 5'9", 180 lb frame from North Dartmouth, MA who attends Bishop Stang HS. Michael has a well-developed build and showed some nice hitting tools at the showcase. At the plate Michael has a balanced approach with solid bat speed. He looks like he would probably dominate high school pitching. An area he will get in trouble with though is that he can get very long with his swing. He will needs to work on staying inside the ball and getting good leverage in his swing. In the field Michael is very efficient with a short compact arm action and soft hands. Michael is a solid student that could attract the attention of some small to mid-level college programs.
