Corbin Cutshaw is a 2007 OF/C/1B with a 5'9'', 188 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA, who attends Santa Fe Christian HS. Cutshaw has present strength in his body with good athleticism. He has very good speed running a 6.82 sixty and looked even faster on the bases during game action. Defensively he covers ground in the outfield, and has solid arm strength throwing 77 mph from right field. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from an upright and open stance. Cutshaw closes off his stance well at contact showing good bat speed through the hitting zone. He uses his quick hands to put the ball in play hitting to all fields. Cutshaw laid down a great bunt in one of the showcase games adding that to his arsenal. Cutshaw projects as a top of the order contact hitter who can get on base and make things happen. He is also a very good student.
