Jake Land is a 2019 3B/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Akron, OH who attends Revere. Large frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Hits from narrow, even-based stance with high hand set, leg lift trigger, stays balanced through swing, could get lower half more involved, line drive swing plane, shows leverage at times, hands work inside the ball, covered the plate well. Worked out in the infield, deeper funnel with clean hands out front, showed solid one-step range, overtop arm slot, clocked up to 73 mph across the diamond. Also pitched, compact hooked arm stroke through the back, tight release, gates hip downhill, back elbow gets high, fastball worked 73-75 mph with flashes of arm side run, showed curveball with some bite, did a good job throwing strikes. Good student.
