Eric Roberts is a 2008 C/2B with a 5'10'', 180 lb. frame from Kinnelon, NJ, who attends Don Bosco High School. Roberts has a medium frame with an athletic looking body. Defensively he has soft hands behind the plate showing the ability to handle different pitchers. He works hard, and does a solid job blocking balls in the dirt. At the plate Roberts is a switch hitter with ability from both sides, but showed a little better from the right side. He has quick hands in his swing showing bat speed through the hitting zone. Roberts showed the ability to stay inside the ball an hit to all fields. He has a quiet approach and a smooth swing that should allow him to be a consistent hitter. Roberts is a hard working player who hustles everywhere on the field. He is a very good student as well.
