Gabe Svatek is a 2022 RHP/IF with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends John F Kennedy. Large frame with broad shoulders and a solid build. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall at gather and works to the plate with slight drop and drive actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarter to near over top arm slot. Displayed develop feel with fastball offering sitting in the upper 60's to low 70's. Primarily looked to attack the inner half of the plate and induce weak contact. Flashed the ability to repeat arm action when staying in rhythm throughout delivery. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and quick front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a level barrel plane through extension. Showed develop feel for the barrel throughout the zone while employing a mid field approach. Displayed best contact when maintaining balance and connecting with baseball out front. Good student.
