Sean Carter is a 2021 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Junipero Serra. Young, athletic frame with a high waist and square shoulders, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, takes short and quick steps moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front, will continue to refine overall actions, longer arm stroke and works on top of throws well, shows accuracy along with strength and carry, projects well. Fields the ball to side in the outfield, similar longer arm action on throws, can implement additional lower half working through the ball, shows accuracy to the intended base. Also pitched, quick separation at start of delivery, longer arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with short running life, some drop and drive through lower half. Curveball showed 12-6 shape to it with short depth, buried it down in zone, tends to slow arm at release; changeup showed nice diving life at 70 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Keeps hands inside the ball, best contact off of the barrel when extended out front. Contact oriented approach, rhythm through swing will continues to refine but remains balanced, shows hand speed and can work the middle and opposite parts of the field.
