Chris Jackson is a 2005 middle infielder from Midlothian Virginia with an athletic build at 6 ft. 1 190 pounds. He showed good fundamentals at the plate with short hands to the ball and extension out front. He showed good strength and generates a lot of bat speed. He has a short compact line drive swing plane and shows the potential to hit for power. He showed good footwork and fields the ball out front with soft hands and a smooth, quick transfer. He has a short arm action, and a quick arm that shows strength at 81 mph. He is a solid middle infielder and showed good range to the back hand, making tough plays look easy. He has a projectable body and will be a very good player at the next level. Chris has signed with Virginia Commonwealth.

Chris Jackson is a 6'1", 193 lb. middle infielder from Midlothian, Virginia, with a very athletic body, plus balance, and quickness in actions. In the field Chris shows very smooth actions and solid arm strength with 84 mph throws. He has very good out in front mechanics on ground balls with smooth gliding actions. Chris has quick transfers and quick releases. He might be best suited for turning double plays from shortstop with his very good arm strength, including when he is throwing off his back foot. Chris is a right handed hitter with very quick hands. He has an open to closed stance with a knee lift trigger, and knows how to wait on the ball. Chris uses a tall stance with a still head and good balance in his swing. Chris has plus power potential with a line drive swing plane and the ability to square up on any ball in the zone. He didn't run the 60, but did run 4.55 down to first base and we'd guess he's probably close to a 7.0 runner.

Exciting player to watch. A pleasant surprise to see, Chris was a player we have not seen before, who a lot of people will want to see. An athletic quick 6'0-185 mif from Richmond, VA he shows 6.90 speed with an above ave arm strength from the hole at ss. Chris shows a polished glove with very quick, college level transfers and college level release now. His quickness and range may help keep him on the left side of the bag, however, top level 2b potential. He is a RH hitter with a very quick bat and good balance throughout swing. The bat is also a college tool now with a very quiet but quick approach to the ball. Fast twitch athlete with very good college projection on power. He is a keeper for any college program and will draw looks from pro scouts.
