Michael Baskeyfield is a 2008 RHP/3B that attends Colonial Beach HS and resides in Colonial Beach, VA with a 6'1", 175 lb. frame. Michael has an athletic build with some room to fill out. On the mound Michael throws from an OH arm slot with a short loose arm action. He has nice run on the ball and a plus 12 to 6 downer CB. Michael could stand to get more arm extension and it would help his velocity pick up some. At the plate Michael has good strength in his swing with nice bat speed. His balance is poor at this time and he needs to work on his approach to really start driving the ball. In the field Michael has a quick release but gets caught waiting for the ball to much. Michael is a player that could attract attention from some small to mid-level colleges in the next year.
