Sam Gordley is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 5-7 132 lb. frame from Lake St Louis, MO who attends Wentzville Liberty. Very slender young build, lots of time and room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a small leg lift load, tends to fly open with his front side in his swing, downward swing path. 8.15 runner, moves to the ball well in the outfield, young footwork through his throws with a short stride into release, has some arm strength for his age and size and makes accurate throws. Also pitched, future might be on the mound, has a low effort deliberate delivery with a compact arm stroke, will occasionally spin off due to his short stride but generally stays directional. Threw strikes with a fastball up to 78 mph that had consistent sinking action and got ground balls, can get out front better on his curveball. Arm looks to be his tool. Good student.
