Jeff Truckner is a 2008 RHP/C/1B with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Sebastion, Florida, who attends St. Edwards Prep. Named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Truckner has an extra large frame with good projection in his body. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle on the back side. He has looseness in his arm and he throws from a good downhill plane. He has good arm speed that helped produce a fastball that topped out at 83 mph. Truckner got occasional life on his fastball, and he shows projectable velocity. He has upside on the mound. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who hits with a high hand set. Truckner has a flat swing plane that allows him to make solid contact and to consistently center the ball. Truckner has hand strength and shows power to his pull side. He is a good student as well.
