Jay Page is a 2008 1B with a 6'2", 220 lb frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Marist HS. Jay has a thick build that could add more strength. At the plate Jay is very raw, but he showed strong quick hands and good bat speed. He has an aggressive approach with a line-drive swing plane and should project to hit for power in the future. Jay has pretty poor balance in his swing and it can really throw his swing mechanics off, if everything is not working together. In the field Jay has good body control and clean actions. He moves allright for size and should be an adequate first baseman. Jay is a player that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
