Adam Morris is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Salinas, CA who attends Rancho San Juan. Primary left-handed pitcher, young athlete developing some twitch and feel for the mound. Fairly deliberate actions, collapses some on the release. Gets to a low 3/4 arm slot that works and throws strikes. Active fastball plays to the arm action, has some late run to it. Throws a loose breaking ball looking for a depth in the vertical movement, but mostly 1/7 shaped path on the curveball. Intention on the mound will develop as the physicality fills in some strength gaps. Showed a good feel for first base, good footwork through the ball, showed a quick short arm with easy turns. Played the infield with some confidence and field awareness. Right-handed hitter, starts wide and works with an upper half dominant. Has some down barrel action to the swing path, not much control of the barrel. Has some fundamental grounds to cover on the offensive side. Great student.
