Max Rutledge is a 2020 RHP/2B, SS with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Mount Vernon, TX who attends Mount Vernon HS. Recorded a 7.42 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with a slender build and room to add strength to the build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a three-quarters arm slot and a longer arm action. Whippy arm speed with a fastball that worked up to 82 mph. Can work to both sides and fastball has mostly straight life. Mixed in a soft cutter/slider as well as a curveball in the upper-60s. Arm path can lead to some command inconsistencies but live arm nontheless that projects for significant velocity. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the infield. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and spread, open stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and creates some bat speed to the middle of the field. Moving parts but strength off the barrel when on plane. Good student.
