Corey Ringley is a 2007 C/1B/3B with a 6'2'', 220 lb. frame from Kokomo IN, who attends Kokomo HS. He has a very strong build throughout. Ringley has maintained good agility and flexibility for his size and shows it with his blocking ability on defense. He moves quickly and aggressively to both sides. Ringley caught well in games and handled the pitchers well. He has a quick exchange and release that makes up for average arm strength. His best pop time was a 2.03. Offensively, Ringley hits out of an open, crouched stance and is looking for one pitch, the inside fastball, to attack and pull hard. When he got it in games and in BP, he jumped on it and drove it with power. He tends to reach on all other pitches and is vulnerable to off speed pitches away. Ringley has the raw hitting tools to develop further with a more balanced approach. Ringley is also an excellent student.
