Michael Cagley is a 2008 C with a 5'10'', 175 lb. frame from Livingston LA, who attends Parkview Baptist. Cagley has a medium sized frame with a good strong build. Defensively, Cagley has quick feet behind the plate which really helps him get rid of the ball quickly on his throws to second base. He makes accurate throws on the bag and has solid arm strength. He transfers the ball low and has a quick release. Cagley sets up well behind the plate and is a good receiver. He has good arm strength with carry on his throws. At the plate, Cagley starts with a medium width base and a slightly open stance. He starts with high hands and a high back elbow before he starts his swing. Cagley has a calm approach in the batters box and looks to pull the ball. He swings on a line drive path and tends to swing around the ball. Cagley has leverage at contact and has bat speed through the zone.
