Connor Buchanan is a 2023 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-9 147 lb. frame from Conroe, TX who attends Conroe. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Hits from open-based stance, hits off of back side, high hand set, brings hands down into swing, line drive swing plane, direction of front hip creates pull side approach, showed contact skill. Waits back on the ball at first base, fields cleanly with deep funnel, showed quickness to arm stroke, clocked up to 69 mph on throws. Also pitched, smooth and repeatable mechanics, works only from the stretch, good pace, fastball worked 64-67 mph with good run and sink, flashed curveball with feel for 1/7 shape, did a nice job throwing strikes. Good student.
