2006 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Josh White is a 2008 RHP/3B from Wilkes Central HS in Wilkesboro, NC with a 5'11", 165 lb. frame. Josh has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. On the mound Josh throws from an easy 3/4 arm slot and showed off solid command. While Josh has good command he will need to work on his deception some. Changing speeds and keeping hitters guessing will be a key to Josh's development. At the plate Josh hits from a balanced stance with solid middle of the field contact. He has a tendency to lift the ball some and will need to work on leveling his plane. Josh looked the most comfortable in the infield at the showcase. He showed good third base tools with a nice backhand. Josh is a player that should attract attention from many colleges throughout the country.
