2005 World Showcase
Christian Perez is a 2005 right handed pitcher from Hialeah, Florida, with a 5'9", 165 lb. frame. Perez threw two different times at the showcase and looked much more comfortable during his second outing. He throws from a 3/4 to high 3/4 arm angle with a slow and deliberate delivery. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with some nice run. Perez's curveball was sharp at times with 11-5 break. He showed good command of his fastball, and he hides the ball well making his 83 mph fastball appear faster. Perez didn't give up a run during his second outing, while only giving up 1 hit and striking out 2. He has very good pitchability.
