Daniels is a 6-1 southpaw with some stockiness to his frame and good overall strength. He has a slow, deliberate wind up with good balance and good direction to the plate and throws the consistent strikes you’d expect from that type of sound mechanics. Daniels fastball was 78-84 mph and averaged 82 with a little bit of running action. His curveball was 65-66 mph and was a workable pitch that he was able to get over early in the count. Daniels’ 75 mph change up looked like his fastball with a bit taken off. He's a good student who might really develop with a year or two of JC ball. Of course mid 80s lefties who throw strikes are in big demand.
