Christopher Kowalski is a 2006 RHP/OF from Roxbury Latin School in Boston, MA, with a 6'6", 215 lb. frame. He has a big league body and looks to continue to add strength. The tall right handed pitcher throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a good downward plane to the plate. His fastball topped out at 83 mph, and he projects to throw harder in the near future. He stays balanced in his delivery and has very good coordination for his size. Kowalski works his fastball in and out showing good command. His change up is his best secondary pitch with good downward action like a split finger which he also has good command of. He has all of the necessary tools to be a top pitching prospect, especially with added velocity. Kowalski also shows his arm strength from the outfield and has the ability to cover ground as well showing good speed for his size. Offensively he is a right handed hitter and the ball jumps off his bat. He is a pull hitter with a line drive swing plane, and has present raw power. Christopher is a two-way prospect that needs to be followed closely.
