Andrew Mailhot is a 2008 1B/3B with a 6'1'', 190 lb. frame from Alpharetta GA, who attends Chattahoochee HS. He has a mature, strong build, especially in his lower half. Mailhot showed good defensive ability at first base, with good fundamental actions, some one spot foot quickness, soft hands and a strong arm. He'll have to work on maintaining his quickness and range. He is a 7.92 runner in the 60. Offensively, Mailhot has a smooth, good looking swing and polished actions in the box. He's looking to pull and lift the ball and has a long, extended swing. Mailhot shows some gap to gap pop on contact and has some bat speed. Overall, Mailhot doesn't have much projection but he is a polished, mature player who can hit well and knows how to play. He was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team.
