2003 South Top Prospect Showcase
Simmons is a catcher with a good strong body and a very strong arm. He already has top level ability both as a receiver and a hitter. He had a good pop time with a 1.96 with a very impressive 80 mph gun reading. He also can move pretty good for a catcher his size. At times, his bat-speed was faster than other times, showing lots of potential, the ball jumped off his wood bat in a big hurry. This catcher has natural ability with his arm and the bat. Christopher is an excellent student.
