Brian Litwin is a 2008 OF/3B/MIF with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Hickory, NC who attends St Stephens HS. He has a lean and live athletic body with lots of strength projection. He is a quick twitch athlete who runs the 60 in 6.45 and was consistently 4.2 down the line to first base from the right side. Litwin has easy outfield actions and very good arm strength that could improve even more with better throwing fundamentals. Offensively, Litwin hits with a big coil and high leg lift trigger and explodes through the ball with very good bat speed. He's an aggressive hitter who is attacking the ball hard and trying to pull it. Litwin's swing can get long but he shows the ability to center the ball and carry it hard into the gaps. He has some rough edges to work out with his timing and balance but all the tools are there to hit. Litwin is an outstanding student who has a verbal commitment to Duke.
