Cody Winslow is a 6'8", 190 lb., 2006 first baseman from Virginia Beach, Virginia, with obvious size for a position player. At first base he showed good arm strength with 79 mph velocity and moves well around the bag with athletic movements. Cody is a 7.53 sixty runner and 4.89 home to first time with good form and quickness. He is a right handed hitter with a tall stance. He has a no load approach with good balance and fair bat speed. He shows a tendency to reach for balls and doesn't always take advantage of his leverage and strength. Cody has pitched in the past, but did not take the mound at this showcase. He is a very good student. Possible sleeper!
