Cole Lujan -- Lujan is a "05" lean 6-1 southpaw out of Texas who projects very well. He throws from a high ¾’s release point with an easy, balanced delivery. He threw his fastball in the upper 70s range for 4 innings with good arm side tail. He knows how to pitch and showed a good command of the outside corner to right handers. Lujan’s curveball shows promise in the low 60’s and he works it over the plate well. Both his fastball and breaking ball will gain much more velocity as Cole gets bigger and stronger. He is the prototype college finesse lefty with deception, command and poise. Swings the bat OK, but he will definitely pitch at the next level. He’s an outstanding student who has his best years in baseball ahead of him.
