Michael Ferry is a 2024 1B/RHP, C, 3B, IF with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Hackettstown, NJ who attends West Morris Central. Long and athletic frame, high waist and upside in the frame. A first baseman, he turns well to throw staying balanced and delivering the ball with accuracy. Solid picking balls in the dirt as well. A right-handed hitter, he uses a high hand set and scapular load to produce good barrel speed. His hand speed is noticeable through the zone and he looks to extend and pull with authority. A secondary right handed pitcher, he worked exclusively out of the stretch. Loads on the back side with a slight cross fire that adds deception. Lots of strikes with the fastball coming from a 3/4 slot. Held mechanics and has some upside with his length. Good student.
