2007 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Joshua Peverill is a 2007 RHP/3B with a 6'1'', 205 lb. frame from Waterloo IA, who attends Waterloo East HS. He has a large build and could firm up some. Peverill throws from a full leg raise delivery with a lean back towards the middle of the field and a long, extended arm action in back. His arm comes through to a mid 3/4's release point that gives his fastball lots of running and sinking action. Peverill's fastball ws 70-73 mph and he did a nice job moving it in and out and changing locations. His breaking pitch is a slow, big breaking curveball that tops out at 62 mph. Hitters were consistently out front and off balance on his curveball. Peverill repeated his delivery well and threw consistent strikes. He is a third baseman when he isn't pitching and showed some raw power with the bat, but would benefit from a more aggressive, consistent approach to the ball. Peverill is a good student.
