Dustin Wilson is a 2007 MIF/RHP with a 5'11'', 145 lb. frame from Elk Run Heights IA, who attends Waterloo East HS. He has a medium frame and a slender build. Wilson has quick feet on defense and gets in position to field the ball well. He has a flexible arm and likes getting rid of the ball quickly from a low release angle, especially when charging the ball. Wilson is going to make the routine play well and make plays coming through the ball. Offensively, Wilson hits from an open stance and shows some hand quickness to the ball. He has a sound line drive swing when he stays short and made solid line drive contact to the middle of the field. He looks a like a high average hitter who can move the ball around the field. Wilson also pitched some, throwing up to 78 mph with very good late movement. His slider was late and tight at times and he showed some pitchability.
