Brennan Dooley is a 2009 OF/P with a 5'10'', 155 lb. frame from Remlap, AL who attends Locust Fork HS. He has a young build and minimal present strength. Dooley is a 7.29 runner and showed very sound defensive fundamentals in the outfield. His arm worked well and should keep improving as he gets stronger. Offensively, Dooley hits from a straight leg stance with a wide base and limited lower half involvement in his swing. He's primarily an opposite field hitter who serves most balls out into left field. He would benefit from a better lower half approach and this will help him create bat speed until he gets stronger. Dooley also pitched but wasn't able to use his good outfield arm because of complicated pitching mechanics and was 72-75 mph on the mound. He is a good student.
