Thomas Gean is a 2008 3B with a 5'11'', 185 lb. frame from Bentonville AR, who attends Bentonville. Named to Top Prospect Team. Gean has a medium sized frame with a strong build. Defensively, Gean has good arm strength with good carry on his throws across the infield. He is an aggressive defender and attacks the baseball. He has soft hands with solid actions. Gean has good third baseman tools to build upon. At the plate, Gean starts with an upright stance and has a simple approach in the box. He has a relaxed approach and takes a short soft stride to start his swing. He maintains good balance though his swing and showed a good ability to hit to all fields. Gean has a simple swing and keeps it short. He battled hard at the plate in games and competed well. Gean has some power potential in there as he matures and gets stronger. Gean is a very good student.
