Tanner Quirk is a 2008 OF/1B with a 6'1'', 155 lb. frame from Athens, Tennessee, who attends McMinn County High School. He has a long and lean frame with good projection. Defensively he moves well in the outfield with good actions. He has solid arm action and arm speed on his throws. Quirk showed better velocity and carry when he stays on top of the ball. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away and upright stance. He uses a no load and no stride approach. Quirk has solid bat speed, and shows the ability to hit to all fields. During game action he stayed on the ball well, including a good slider that he hit a line drive back up the middle on. He is a patient hitter as well. Quirk is a good student.
