Cory Valine is a 2006 catcher from West Sacramento, California, with a strong frame and build. He has a compact body that is made to catch. Valine showed the ability to handle any pitcher on the staff, and can be a leader on the team. He showed a good strong arm. He has a strong bat with good raw strength, and an idea on how to center the baseball. He has the potential to be a middle of the line up bat, with solid defensive skills. Valine takes his game serious, and it shows. He prepares well and is aggressive both offensively and defensively. Valine should be an impact player at his present level with a chance to play at a quality high level college program. Cory is a very good student.
