Seth Edwards is a 2022 RHP/3B, SS with a 5-9 174 lb. frame from Magnolia, AR who attends Magnolia. Recorded a 7.68 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, medium frame with some present lower half strength. Primary right-handed pitcher that works from an abbreviated wind-up with uptempo pace and some rhythm in his belt high leg lift and stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the 79-81 mile per hour range for the most part, topping out at 82 mph in this look from a high three-quarters arm slot. Developing command due to some timing issues mechanically but fastball does show life through the zone when in sync and on time. Showed feel for spin by mixing in a sharp slider that flashed good spin profile and downward tilt to it when thrown with conviction. Will continue to improve with minor mechanical adjustments that effect his timing and tempo. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Uses aggressive footwork and good approach angles to range laterally fairly well to either side, funneling slightly deep and working into a lower arm slot to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a spread, even stance with a high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and slight hand load to get to launch, producing line drive barrel plane and some present bat speed. Gap-to-gap approach with consistent bat-to-ball skills and occasional impact to the pull-side. Intriguing physical projection that will continue to improve with mechanical refinements and proper swing adjustments. Excellent Student.
