2006 Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Mike Crowder is a 2007 3B/OF that attends Jefferson Forrest HS and resides in Forest, VA with a 5'11", 165 lb. frame. Mike has a lean athletic build and had one of the best running times at the event. (7.10) At the plate Mike has a tendency to get a little jumpy in the box and needs to calm his approach down a lot. His swing plane could also use a little more extension which really help him drive the ball more consistently. In the field Mike has solid raw arm strength, but is a little slow at times getting rid of the ball. His tools will profile the best at third base. Mike is a player that will attract the attention of many smaller colleges.
