Cody Martin is a 2009 3B/SS with a 6'2'', 205 lb. frame from Toccoa, GA who attends Stephens County HS. Martin has a strong athletic build and his hands work well in the infield. He was very impressive in BP driving balls over the baggy at the Metrodome. He has good hitting rhythm and showed good bat speed. He has big power to the pullside and gets his hips through well. The lefthanded bat needs to be followed very closely. His older brother Ethan was a first round pick this year. Cody is also an outstanding student.
