2006 Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Andrew Longosz is a 2008 MIF/RHP that attends St. Alban's HS and resides in Great Falls, VA with a 6'2", 170 lb. frame. Andrew has a tall athletic build and showed good raw hitting tools at the plate. He has good bat speed and extension in his swing. Andrew has the ability to be a quality hitter at the next level. In the field Andrew is going to need to stick with first base or left field. His arm strength is a little lacking right now and he will need to work on his release. On the mound Andrew throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short loose arm action. Andrew gets some run on his fastball and makes hitters put the ball in play, but overall his pitchability is a little limited. Andrew looks like a player that could attract the attention of many smaller college programs.
