2003 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Blake is an "04" LHP/1B with a nice athletic body, 6'2/180. A primary pitcher, he showed well in Wareham, throwing tailing fastballs around 80 mph. It looked like he throws a cutter in the mid 70s. His breaking ball showed lots of promise. He changes speeds with the breaker anywhere from 64 to 70 mph. He also threw 81 mph across the infield during the workout. He has a nice, somewhat slow delivery and throws a little bit across his body. As a hitter he showed a nice under control swing and makes solid contact. He hit some balls hard in the gaps. Daniel is a good student with a 1210 SAT.
