Hunter Schwartzkopf is a 2008 3B/P with a 6'1'', 188 lb. frame from Hixson, Tennessee, who attends Soddy Daisy High School. Schwartzkopf has a lean and strong frame with a mature look. Defensively he shows soft hands at the hot corner with good reactions. Schwartzkopf has solid third base actions, and shows solid arm strength on his throws across the diamond. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits using a no-stride approach. He has solid bat speed through the hitting zone with a line drive swing plane. He makes consistent contact to the middle of the field, and has the ability to hit to all fields. Stays balanced throughout his swing, and gets leverage at the point of contact. On the mound he throws strikes with his fastball that topped out at 76 mph. He mixes in a back door CB at 69 mph with depth and good break. He also has projectable velocity. There is upside to his game.
