2006 National Underclass Showcase
Evan King is a 2009 MIF/3B/OF with a 5'8", 130 lb frame from Lancaster, PA who attends Lampeter-Strasburg HS. Evan has a young lean build that has room to add a lot of strength. At the plate Evan shows the ability to center up some balls and hit the ball to any part of the field. Right now he really needs to add some strength to drive the ball with authority. Evan will bail out some and needs to make an attempt to work on his balance and leverage in his swing. In the field Evan showed very solid second base tools. He has a very quick release and showed clean actions to the ball. Evan understands the game well and just needs for his body to fill out some. He is a player that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
