Darren Kempf is a 2006 outfielder/right handed pitcher from Morristown HS in Morristown, New Jersey, with a solid 5'11"/180 pound frame. Darren has an accurate arm from the outfield at 84 mph. He gets good jumps on the ball and has good reactions defensively. As a right handed hitter, he hits from an upright stance with a toe tap trigger. Kempf showed good strength in his swing. On the mound, he pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with loose arm action. He has a quick delivery with an 82 mph fastball. Darren gets arm side run on his changeup and also throws a 12-6 breaking curveball for strikes. He fields the position well. Kempf is a good student.
