WP - David Bustillos is a 2006 MIF/OF/P from Mayfield HS in Las Cruces, NM. David has a small frame, but is strong. He has soft hands and good footwork to play groundballs well. He had a good, quick release at 2B with good body control and actions to turn a solid double play. At the plate, he has good hands and uses an open stance with a slight lift at contact. He showed good plate discipline with good strike zone judgment. We like his bat and think he has a chance to hit for a good average.
