Wilcox has an ideal young pitcher's build at 6-foot-6, 220-pounds with lots of room to fill out and get stronger. He has a long and loose arm action from a three-quarters arm slot and sits in the 92-95 mph range on his fastball and has topped out at 97 mph this summer at PG events. Wilcox throws a low-80s slider with good downward action and a rapidly developing changeup. He's currently the 16th-ranked player in the 2018 class and the fourth ranked righthanded pitcher.
